Like me, people born in 1980 spent a lot of their formative years in front of the television, typically on Day-Glo beanbags or inflatable chairs, wearing tie-dye T-shirts or flannel. The 1990s were a productive decade for many of us. Because so many of us spent so much time watching television as children, it's only natural to develop crushes on some of the actors in our favorite shows.
Teri Hatcher in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman
Superman was given a new dynamic in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, which focused on the will-they-or-won't-they romance between Clark and Lois Lane. Thanks to the show, Hatcher became an overnight celebrity (and Cain had no shortage of admirers either). During the show's first season, Hatcher was 29 years old and had already been in Tango & Cash and Soapdish and made a special appearance on Seinfeld. As a Bond girl, she appeared in Tomorrow Never Dies before starring in Desperate Housewives for a second time.
Amy Jo Johnson in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Parents were concerned that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which premiered in 1993, was too violent for their children when it initially came out. As a result, many slightly older fans tuned in to the martial arts superhero series for another reason: to watch Amy Jo Johnson as Kimberly, the Pink Ranger. At the time of her debut, Johnson was 23 years old and a member of the super-powered teen squad. Kimberly Johnson would feature in 138 episodes and two Power Rangers movies and a brief cameo appearance in the 2017 remake. Johnson was cast partly on the strength of her gymnastic abilities.

There has never been a shortage of strong, powerful, and gorgeous female characters in the Star Trek universe since its 1980s resurrection. Jeri Ryan's Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager had an X-factor that no other female Star Trek character could match. In the fourth season of the sci-fi series, Ryan played a freed former Borg drone seeking to restore her humanity. She was 29 years old at the time. Ryan recently reprised her part in Star Trek: Picard, looking as lovely as she did in the character she played 20 years ago.
Tiffani-Amber Thiessen in Saved by the Bell
If you were born in the 90s, Saved by the Bell has a particular place in your heart because of its focus on teens. To a large extent, this was due to the attractiveness of the cast: future Showgirls actress Elizabeth Berkley and Lark Voorhies were both stunning. In the end, though, it was Tiffani-Amber Theissen who won over the audience of adolescent girls. As Kelly Kapowski, Thiessen starred in 75 episodes of Saved by the Bell and 18 episodes of the spin-off series Saved by the Bell: The College Years and two television films.
Gillian Anderson in The X-Files
Since its premiere in 1993, The X-Files has faded from the public consciousness. With the show's stars, David Duchovny (Fox Mulder) and Gillian Anderson's sexual chemistry, the paranormal investigative series swiftly became a worldwide fascination (Dana Scully). At first, Fox balked at hiring Anderson because they looked for someone with more evident sex appeal. When FHM readers decided in 1997 that she was the sexiest woman on Earth, the actress had the last laugh.
Christina Applegate in Married with Children
The sarcastic, darkly humorous comedy Married with Children first aired in 1987, although it was at its height of popularity in the 1990s. According to several members of the audience, Christina Applegate's charismatic performance as seductive Kelly Bundy was a significant factor in the show's success. Applegate played Kelly throughout the entire ten-year duration of the show, appearing in all 262 episodes. Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead was one of Applegate's best-known roles. Since then, she has been in Anchorman and Bad Moms, two of her most recent films.
Katie Holmes in Dawson's Creek
The first episode of Dawson's Creek premiered in 1998. However, the show nevertheless had a significant influence on teenagers. Like James Van Der Beek's Dawson, many fans were left yearning for Joey, played by Katie Holmes. The Ice Storm had only come out the year before, and Holmes had just turned 20 when she began her 128-episode tenure on the Creek. A successful film career followed, with the actress most memorably starring in 2005's Batman Begins (and later marrying Tom Cruise).
Sarah Michelle Gellar in Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which premiered in the Summer of 1997, was a game-changer for supernatural drama television. The beautiful cast, including Alyson Hannigan's Willow and Charisma Carpenter's Cordelia, contributed to the show's popularity. Her role in I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, Cruel Intentions, and the Scooby-Doo movies directly resulted from her popularity on the program.
Jennifer Aniston in Friends
Nothing new can be said about Friends that haven't been said before. The youthful and trendy comedy quickly became a classic on television once it premiered in 1994. That young band appeared to have won the hearts of the entire globe, if not literally. While Monica and Phoebe had their fans, Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) truly captivated the audience on Friends. A big part of it was due to her wildly popular and frequently imitated hairstyle and her on-and-off relationship with Ross (David Schwimmer).

Baywatch, the 1990s action series about a brave band of lifeguards, reigned supreme for everyone with an interest in 1990s women. Although David Hasselhoff was the star, the show's popularity was boosted by a rotating cast of stunning female co-stars. We couldn't possibly choose just one woman to have a crush on in this situation.
Jennifer Love Hewitt in Party of Five
Founded in 1994, Party of Five was a popular adolescent drama starring Neve Campbell, who starred in The Craft and Scream. In no way am I disparaging Campbell, but Jennifer Love Hewitt's arrival in season two robbed him of the limelight. As Sarah, a minor character who grew into a crucial component of the Party of Five casts owing to strong public reception, Hewitt had her big break (not least because she was so lovely to look at). I Know What You Did Last Summer like Campbell's I Know What You Did in the Summer, made Hewitt famous on the big screen.
Marina Sirtis in Star Trek: The Next Generation
At first, Star Trek: The Next Generation split Trekkies, but everyone could agree: Marina Sirtis's Deanna Troi was irresistible. Troi served as the ship's counselor, helping the crew deal with their emotions and encouraging spectators to do the same. When Troi first started, she was known as "Counsellor Cleavage" because of her unconventionally low necklines. Sirtis' innate attractiveness shone through even when Troi was dressed in a more traditional Starfleet uniform in subsequent episodes.
Lisa Bonet in The Cosby Show
Back when it initially aired, The Cosby Show was popular with both young and elderly viewers, despite what we now know about its disgraced star. Lisa Bonet's Denise, in particular, was a big draw for the show's tween and teen demographic. Many spectators were smitten by Bonet's charm and attractiveness, which captivated millions. A Different World, in which she co-starred with another swoon-worthy actress, Marisa Tomei, was so successful because of her star power that it was granted its spin-off series.
Jennie Garth in Beverly Hills 90210
When it premiered in 1990, Beverly Hills 90210 depicted an idealized American lifestyle that most of us could only dream of living. This was accompanied by a dreamlike cast, which spoiled viewers for choice due to the abundance of gorgeous young men and women on film. Aside from Shannen Doherty (Brenda) and Tori Spelling (Donna), Jennie Garth (Kelly) was the most popular teen character. Only Garth remained on the program for all ten seasons and returned in the 90210 reboots in 2008.
Jane Leeves in Frasier
As a spin-off of Cheers, Frasier proved to be as popular as the original show, surprising everyone with its popularity. While Kelsey Grammer's portrayal of the titular role had a large part in the film's popularity, the supporting cast also played an important role. British actress Jane Leeves, who played Daphne, the live-in caregiver of Frazier's sick father Marty, in Frasier, was an integral part of the show (John Mahoney). Frasier's brother Niles (David Hyde-Pierce) was not the only one smitten with Daphne throughout the series.
Kelly Hu in Martial Law
The short-lived action series We got to see Kelly Hu every week thanks to Martial Law, but Sammo Hung was the star of the show. Hu's position as Grace Chen provided her with several opportunities to display her martial arts prowess, shocking us. After the show's discontinuation in 2000, Hu was the only cast member to appear in all 44 episodes. X-Men 2 saw her play Lady Deathstrike, and in The Scorpion King, she played the all-powerful (and extremely scantily-clad) Sorceress.
Alyssa Milano in Charmed
Alyssa Milano's appearance on Who's the Boss? When she was cast in the hot witch thriller Charmed, with Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs, Milano truly made hearts skip a beat. It was only a matter of time until Milano grabbed center stage on Charmed, especially after Doherty left to be replaced by the equally stunning Rose McGowan. Even though her co-stars were all gorgeous, something about Milano captivated the audience.
Alicia Witt in Cybill
Cybill, which premiered in 1995, heralded Cybil Shepherd's return as a leading lady. On the other hand, younger viewers didn't give a hoot about it since we were too engrossed with Alicia Witt. Her co-star Dedee Pfeiffer (the younger sister of Michelle) may have also sparked a few youthful crushes—and honestly, the same can be said of Cybill Shepherd herself. On the other hand, Alicia Witt was the character we were most eager to see again in each new episode.
Sherilyn Fenn in Twin Peaks
In the world of television, there aren't many series that deserve to be called 'game changers,' but Twin Peaks does. However, this wasn't the only thing that kept viewers coming back week after week; the cast's frightening beauty also played a big part. In addition to Audrey Horne, audiences were enamored with Lara Flynn Boyle, Mädchen Amick, Joan Chen, and Peggy Lipton, all of whom were older co-stars. Fenn's Audrey had the upper hand in terms of seduction and assertiveness.

In addition, as was typical of 90s television, the show had an all-star cast of attractive actors. On the other hand, Lucy Liu had an animal magnetism that no one else could match. Thanks to her performance in Charlie's Angels and Kill Bill, Liu became a household name as a sex icon.

For more than two decades, Drew has maintained her status as one of Hollywood's most popular and gorgeous female celebrities. In the entertainment industry, she continues to be a significant player. Flower Beauty and Dear Drew, her first apparel company, are both owned by Drew. She also holds a budding beauty brand called Flower Beauty. The most recent reports indicate that she's taken a break from the limelight. Announcing that she would be taking "an extended vacation from acting," she informed her followers in the spring of 2021. However, this does not imply that she is not engaged in other endeavors. Rebel Homemaker, her new cookbook, is a lot of fun.
