Popular Disney Stars Who Completely Disappeared From The Screen
May 20, 2022 By Harry Evans

Sorry, but you didn't do childhood right if you didn't watch Disney Channel original films and TV episodes as a youngster. Smart House, Brink, Lizzie McGuire, Even Stevens, and Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century were just some of the shows that a '90s kid would have loved to watch on the network. In contrast to Hilary Duff and Shia LaBeouf, some of our favorite Disney stars have faded into obscurity. – If you've ever wondered what happened to some of your favorite stars, we've got the answer.

Erik von Detten

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Erik von Detten was the real deal because of his shaggy blonde hair and his smoldering good looks. He was a regular on the Disney Channel, appearing in various episodes and movies, such as Brink! (1998), Odd Man Out (1999-2000), and So Weird (1999-2001), as well as the highly successful The Princess Diaries franchise.

Unfortunately, von Detten was only a brief presence in our life before he vanished. Since 2004, he has avoided working in the Hollywood industry, except for his part as the character of Sid in Toy Story 3, which he played again in 2010. Von Detten made a rare appearance at the film's premiere, and all he did was demonstrate that he is still an absolute babe. However, Von Detten was spotted out again in 2016 when he went to the premiere of Adventures In Babysitting with his two beautiful daughters, who obviously share some of their father's unusual DNA. This was his final appearance in public supporting a personal project.

Christy Carlson Romano

The lovely Christy Carlson Romano has reached the level of "perfection" that her characters in the television show Even Stevens (2000-2003), Kim Possible (2002-07), and Cadet Kelly (2002) have always aspired to achieve. The actress is a happily married woman, a teen novelist, a graduate of Columbia University, and a Broadway alum, having appeared as Belle in the stage rendition of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. She also attended and graduated from Columbia University. She has also piled up quite the CV in voice acting, including voicing the character of "Scene It: Deluxe Edition" on the Disney board game. In recent years, Romano has made appearances in the television movies Deadly Daycare (2014) and Christmas with the Andersons (2016). She also appeared in the suspense film The Girl in the Photographs, which was directed by Wes Craven (2015). Romano gave birth to her first child, a daughter they called Isabella Victoria, in December of 2016, just a month after she and her husband, the producer Brendan Rooney, became parents for the first time.

Adam Lamberg

If you watched Lizzie McGuire during its original run from 2001 to 2004, the lovable Gordo, who was portrayed on the show by Adam Lamberg, was most likely one of your favorite characters. It was not in the cards for us to see more of Lamberg on either the big or the small screen, despite how much we would have loved to. Adam decided to withdraw from the Hollywood entertainment industry in the late 2000s, except for a few cameos in low-budget films. The Disney star obtained a degree in geography from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2008, where she studied for four years. Baruch College awarded Lamberg a master's degree in public administration, and he currently holds a position as a developmental associate at the Irish Arts Center in New York City. This information was gleaned from Lamberg's LinkedIn profile.

Ashlie Brillault

After playing Kate Sanders for the final time in The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003), Ashlie Brillault decided to retire from the acting industry. According to the information that can be found on her LinkedIn page, prior to becoming a criminal defense attorney for private practice for a short length of time, she served as a volunteer attorney for the ACLU Jails Project. The website provided this information.

When this article was written, Brillault was residing away from the public eye with her daughter and husband. She told MTV News in 2015, "At the moment, I'm focusing on being a mom to this amazing little human being, and in the next few months I plan on looking for a job as a lawyer in the field of civil rights or criminal defense," she said. "At the moment I'm focusing on being a mom to this amazing little human being." "My end goal is to work on problems relevant to the reform of the criminal justice system." Even though it's a long way from Hollywood, we have a good feeling about Brillault's life now since she has so much going for her. She is living "fabulously ever after."

Alana Austin

When the first season of Motocrossed aired in 2001, young boys looked up to Alana Austin as a role model. She was attractive, participated in athletics, and ultimately landed the most desirable man. After the movie was released, several young women entertained the idea of competing in motocross, but Austin decided to retire from the acting industry. Her most recent appearance occurred in 2006 when she made a guest appearance on an episode of the television series Close to Home. When this was written, it seemed as though Austin was concentrating on a career as a writer. She is highly active on both Instagram and Twitter. She posts pictures of her trips and refers to herself as a "Full-time Muggle, part-time unicorn," a job description that seems like a job description for a lovely work opportunity.

Nick Spano

Nick Spano, who played Donnie Stevens on Even Stevens, was a natural babe. Even now. Following the release of The Even Stevens Movie in 2003, Spano appeared in a few guest spots on various television shows, most notably crime dramas like Cold Case and NCIS. His Facebook page claims that he had a degree in English literature from UCLA and worked as an acting instructor for the John Robert Powers acting agency. These days, he keeps himself busy by running a community group in Los Angeles called Re/Creation Cafe, a creative venue that encourages people to "recreate themselves through play."

Steven Anthony Lawrence

There's a good chance you wouldn't recognize Steven Anthony Lawrence from his role as Beans on the Disney Channel sitcom, Even Stevens. Lawrence has changed a lot since he was Beans. According to an interview he gave to The Huffington Post in February 2015, "what I'm doing now consists primarily of teaching." "That gives me a tremendous amount of pleasure." In addition to that, he has served as a lecturer at several California institutions, such as USC, Berkeley, and Pepperdine.

Fans of Even Stevens who were in the area in late 2015 and happened to be at the Sunvalley Shopping Center in Concord, California, were shocked when they saw Lawrence working as an assistant for Santa at the busy shopping center. Steven's forthcoming project may be connected to that unanticipated gig. It is planned that he will play the lead role in a Christmas comedy film titled Holly, Jingles, and Clyde 3D, released in 2018.

Katie Volding

Katie Volding earned a name for herself on Disney in her younger years by playing the role of a bratty younger sister with an enormous amount of compassion. Folding is most known for her roles in the film Brink! (1998) and Smart House (1999), although she has also been in several entries in the Au Pair film series, the most recent of which was released in 2009. According to her IMDb page, her final acting credit was for the character she played in the film Au Pair 3, which suggests that her desire to continue playing may have diminished as she got older.

Chez Starbuck

The first episode of The Thirteenth Year aired in 1999, and Chez Starbuck immediately became our favorite merboy. In 2011, he featured on Live Big with Ali Vincent to get his body in shape after losing fifty pounds and making a cameo as himself in the television show The L Word. It appears that in the time since then, Starbuck has become interested in bodybuilding, at least according to his Instagram account. Aside from his skill as an artist, for whom he creates one-of-a-kind works in the pop-art tradition, he also runs a business where he helps homeowners organize their kitchens and pantries according to their specific needs. When this article was written, Chez and his wife resided in Austin, Texas. They are anticipating the arrival of their first child at the same time that Chez's first movie role in more than a decade, The Long and the Short, will be released.

Cara Delizia

From 1999 to 2000, Cara Delizia appeared on So Weird as the iconic character Fi, known for her intense curiosity. Following the conclusion of the second season of the show in which her character was featured, Delizia made appearances in Boston Public and as a guest star on both NYPD Blue and The West Wing. She stopped performing professionally in 2012, and according to her Facebook page, she is now the executive director of the Pou Timoun Foundation. This foundation is devoted to assisting Haitian children housed at the Foyer de Sion orphanage in Croix des Bouquets, Haiti.

Ricky Ullman

Raviv "Ricky" Ullman's portrayal of Phil of the Future, a teenager from the future who finds himself transported to the 21st century by accident, captivated children's imaginations throughout the show's first run from 2004 to 2006. Although Raviv hasn't entirely given up acting, his recent years' jobs have been far less significant, and Ullman has primarily shifted her focus to a career performing on and off-Broadway in theatrical roles. Ullman is also a member of the band Reputante, which released an extended play (EP) titled Oceanside in 2013.

Will Friedle

You probably know him best as Eric Matthews, the famous (and often stupid) older brother on the Disney sitcom Boy Meets World (1993-2000) and the spin-off series Girl Meets World (1994-present) (2014-). Friedle provided the voice of Ron Stoppable, a recurring character on the Disney animated series Kim Possible, where he worked as a regular voice actor. What exciting things is Friedle doing these days, and more to the point, does he still have that great hair?

Girl Meets World is currently running new episodes as of the time this article was written, so if you desire some Friedle in your life, you should most definitely check it out. In addition to that, he has devoted a significant portion of his career to voice acting in recent years, bringing several well-known characters from comic books and video games to life. These characters include Deadpool, Nightwing, Splinter, Bumblebee, and Seifer. Friedle chooses to keep much of his private life private, but in 2016, he did post a photo of himself with a stunning woman – on the occasion of their wedding! Even though we don't know who the wonderful lady is, we want to send her and Friedle our best wishes for the future.

Brandon Baker

Brandon Baker won our hearts as the teenage grandson of a surfing icon in the 1999 and 2007 films produced for the Disney Channel and titled Johnny Tsunami and Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board. Both of these films starred Baker, who is a snowboarder. But because he no longer fits those roles, what does Baker do with his time?

Baker has maintained a career as an actor even though he prefers to keep a low profile. He isn't very active on social media, but a glance at his Instagram reveals that he has a passion for exploring new places, as he has posted pictures from places such as Norway, Estonia, and the Hoh Rainforest.
