They became engaged in 2018 while competing on The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2 on MTV, and their proposal was broadcast live on the show.


Deal pleaded with her followers on Instagram not to view their separation from the ex-partner as a failure, explaining that she and her friends did not see it that way.

She stated, "Y'all know I'm honest and upfront, so I have to be the first to let you guys know that I am no longer engaged to Lamar." This was a tough choice for me to make, but ultimately, it is the one that will benefit both myself and my children the most.
